I have never tested so I can't bet that it does work.
At least it uses indicators existing only in Ubuntu Unity (but they should be just silently ignored when they are not available). It means that there will be no tray icon.
Another possible problem is the application menu — Gtk markup is a bit messy, in Ubuntu it's just exported as global menu, but when it's not exported, it can have render problems.

But anyway it should start and track packages. If you'll find any issues in openSUSE, feel free to report bugs and send the patches :)
