Thumbnailing sound files

Does files thumbnail sound files from the embedded id3 tags? If not is this feature planned?

Files does not inspect the id3 tags of sound files at present.

There is an existing bug report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/pantheon-files/+bug/1103261 concerning using cover art as a thumbnail. This is desired for Loki but has not yet been progressed.
