Is there any way to see disk space/usage info?

Asked by bytewax@gmail.com

Is there any way to see all drives info on disk usage/partitions/space left, wichs devices are connected?

thank you

I know about gparted... I'm talking about seeing this kind of info without installing extra software or by the terminal.

I just don't like terminals... but that's me.

Hi,

No, I was also looking for infos and parameters like ram in usage, space left and so on. I've been nothing found on elementary freya.
The 3 party app that I use is gnome system monitor. It fits really good to elementary because the design of the app is really similar and it works great.

kind regards,
steve

The sidebar in Files shows bookmarks for physical mountable drives and partitions together with a graphical indication of used and available space for those which are mounted, under the category "Devices". If you click on the bookmark of the device/partition of interest, right click on any item in it and choose "Properties" it will show free and available space numerically as well as access rights etc.

Were you suggesting that Files should show other types of Device information? If so, you could raise a "Wishlist" type bug at https://bugs.launchpad.net/pantheon-files.

I've reported this as a 'wishlist' bug as suggested by Jeremy Wootten here:

Can you help with this problem?
