openshot fails frei0r-plugins package - lib notfound

Mint 17, 64 bit, download and install package, Openshot 1.4.3, dont know the rest of the versions. When I can record, videos play back as I should. On download page, there is no package for fre10r. I uninstalled and reinstalled the OpenShot program twice. Once, it locked up my machine where I had to unplug the box. Any remedies?

FreiOr package is in the ubuntu/mint software center and not on our
download page.
