video editing issues

A nice video editing software.

However, I have a problem. During the edit stage in the preview window I am unable to play the clip properly from any frame & rewind. I am able to play / FF only once. After that the clip does not play both in the forward / reverse mode. I am unable to select portions of clip that can be added to to the time line. The video clips are of 10 mins duration.

Many thanks and extremely sorry for the delayed response. I have finally traced the issue to be due to an incompatible video format. The issue is solved by changing the video format before editing in Openshot
