decimal separator

Hello,
I am using the french language (fr_FR), so the decimal separator is ",".
I would like to change it to ".".
To do that, I entered Administration/Translations/Application Terms/Language and changed the value of the "decimal separator" field to ".".
I expected to be allowed to enter a "." as decimal separator in a price for example, but it did not work.
Is this a bug or is there another setup option available?
The goal is to use the "fr_FR" language and to use a "." as decimal separator in prices.

That change will be reflect in reports when you print price in report it will use '.' as a separator.
to change in client widget you have to change default locale of your system. or run your client with
LANG=your_prefered_domain ./openerp-client.py

here your_prefered_domain is the domain like fr_FR, en_US for us decimal format.
