Insensitive accent searchs

I have OpenERP v6.1 (with the last nightly build: 6.1-20120910-233309) in Ubuntu 12.04 with PostgreSQL.

I have products whose names are in Spanish, so they contain accents like á, é, í, ó and ú. I would like to search over the products without taking into consideration accents. I was trying to set the unaccent extension to PostgreSQL but I couldn't make it work, is there any way to achieve this?
