Unicode fonts for default reports

Asked by OpenBMS JSC

The default font used in OpenERP is Helvetica which is not a Unicode font, causing black-boxes in lots of reports using the default configuration. Should it be better if all Helvetica font is replaced with Unicode font such as DejaVu Sans, so that OpenERP is more usable out of the box for non-ASCII countries?

Hello Phong,

This thing is already improved with version 6, In report engine we have replaced the Helvetica font with DejaVu.
For your reference you can check the python file which is existing in server side code in following path:
server/bin/report/render/rml2pdf/customfonts.py

Hope this will help you.

Thanks.
