Is there any documentation about multi company in OpenERP

Is there any documentation about multi company in OpenERP ?
Can you please explain what is the use of this module?

Hello Bushair,

In stable addons it will not handle multi company environment.For that there are some multi company module which add company_id field in the required object and now you can manage your database with multi company environment.
There is not any major changes in multi-company related module, you can check the following link for some help regarding multi-company module list:

How could manage multicompany on trunk versión? I don't know if it's a bug, but even if I installed multicompany module, I can't see the field company on user preferences as said on forums and documentation, so I would like to know if it has been changed to another "place".
If it's right, I would like to know how can I idenfy a sales order, a picking, invoice or accountancy for a company, the possibility of defining crossed bussiness workflow between companies and so on... I can't find any option on new 6.0version...

Currently I can not even install multicompany
I created some branches with a uniform layout for SO/PO/PICK/Invoice
https://code.launchpad.net/~office-chricar/+registeredbranches

which shows company in the first line of each document
until now it is not accepted and even the basic layouts of SO/PO are "equal"
the fields are still not in the same sequence

Akretion guys posted a couple of bugs and patches last week regarding this.

I'm sure they announced multicompany as included on core for 6.0 several times...

Ferdinand ... I could install but I can't see the functionality. There si some extra multicompany modules like multicompany_product (axelor) that I couldn't install.

Carlos... link does not work... Please, could you write the correct one... Thank you very much...
