Restrict access of many2one widget from a specific user

How will I be able to restrict access of a specific user. For example I want to restrict the access of a user in product category in products. How can I disable the icons in many2one widget for a specific user?

Hello,

It is possible to restrict access of many2one widget from a specific user, by adding group. you need to create one group for the particular field many2one which you want to restrict.

Hello,

If You want to enable the "edit entry" icon of the many2one field you need to give full "write" access rights by going to edit the specific group which you did assign to other user.By following menu :
Administration/Users/Groups

Open the group in form view and there is one tab :"Access Rights" contain one2many field regarding access rights.

Hi,

Same problem here. When I create a group with a specific Rules, only from the menu are applied... When I try to open the same object using the many2one widget, it shows me all the object instances without filtering...

How can I filter many2one widgets using group rules?
