Moving Main model Menu possible?

Hi,
I installed the loans model successfully. However it seems to have been installed under the Accounting Mode. Question is, can the loan module be moved easily to the Main Models Menus at top nav without breaking any functionality?

Will appreciate any response. Thanks in advance

Find the top menu of the module (in one of those XML files describing views) and change the parentid of the module's top menu
