Management of issues/risks/actions may be outsourced to third parties

Often, management issues are under third parties control (IT, raw materials, even Human resources management for instance)

In such cases, these third parties must be requested to ensure that they accurately manage and that they conform to the contractual issues 'as determined in a written contract at the signature time.

Therefore, the questions raised by the company must be pushed to the involved third party, who in turn answers in terms of its fulfillment (full, partial, none etc), in terms of KPIs and in terms of its improvement of compliance - if necessary (planning, methods, responsible person etc).

The third party people become Users of the system (the licence cost (if any) for these new users will be paid either by the company or the third party).

Do you agree with such proposition?

Hello Guenard,

When you outsource part of your services or production, it is your responsibilities to evaluate each delivery and each supplier.

If there is a non-compliant product or service, you create a nonconformity related to the supplier. By configuring the access rights of the portal group, you can give this supplier access to its own non-conformities in your system.

So based on your suggestion, we will add rights to the portal group to access non-conformities and actions. How does it sound ?

Thanks for your answer;

I thought that OpenErp Mgt system had the objective to help manage the company's process, far in advance of having non conformities to solve, because customers complain.

When the objective is to manage international standards like ITIL, COSO, COBIT, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), ISOxxx etc - whether the corresponding process are in house or outsourced - each responsible person involved in the process is requested to state whether or not he (she) fulfills the said standards. This is the way - at company level - one can state or claim the compliance.

This leads to action plans to achieve compliance where needed.

Does OpenERP allow you to share management system data with third parties ?
Yes, with the portal.

Does OpenERP allow you to store the information if a supplier is certified or not ?
Yes, with partner categories.

Does OpenERP allow you to do quality control on received product and service ?
Yes, with the stock or project module.

Does OpenERP help you manage your processes ?
Yes, you can document them using procedures and work instructions and implement them with OpenERP workflows and processes.
