How to insert at-sign for email address

How do I insert the at-sign (@). On us kbd it is a shifted number 2.
The kbd on my laptop has died while using Ubuntu 20.04. The built in oak does not have necessary keys such as up, down, right, left, ctrl, alt and super, so I'm trying your onboard kbd, which does have those missing keys, but I can't find any special characters. What am I doing wrong or missing please?
