Default snippet button or stay at same mode

Asked by Geert Stappers

Hi,

My usage of Onboard is the snippet mode.

Onboard defaults to Abc mode AKA normal keyboard mode.

So after a snippet button used, I first need to select again snippet mode to leave Abc mode,
before being able to sent a next snippet.

The same "default to Abc mode" is an annoyance when typing a (telephone) nummer.
select 123 mode, select digit, automatic back to the default Abc mode
select 123 mode, select next digit, automatic back to default Abc mode
select 123 mode, select next digit, automatic back to default Abc mode
select 123 moed, select next digit, automatic back to default Abc mode
( eight mouse pointer repostioning plus eight mouse clicks )

In settings I can't find "default to snippet mode" neither a "stay in last mode".

Having a "stay in selected mode" setting would reduce entering a four digit number into
select 123 mode, select digit
select next digit
select next digit
select next digit
( five mouse pointer repostioning plus five mouse clicks )

Has onboard something that avoids automatic back to default Abc mode?

Cheers
