How to show shift keys

How do I get the option to show the keys that would show up when shift is pressed on the top number keys? I know this is possible since I used onboard before where the alternate keys were showing. I can't find an option to change this. Is this an option that has to be compiled in? Or am I just not looking in the right place?

Thanks for your interest in Onboard.

You can make the secondary labels appear on some keys by typing the following command in the terminal:
gsettings set org.onboard.keyboard show-secondary-labels true
