There are so many GUI's but the true is rsync ;) and allmost all of the gui's are using it.
But there is 1 that i recommend. It's called Back In Time - for backing up, and YADSync - just for directory synchronisation.

i'm glad, like i've told you, that 99.9% aof these programs in UNIX are based on rsync, i've found this one to be most intuitive, after testing 5-6 of them ;)
