Why did the version go from 1.0 to 0.2?

Asked by Anthony Huben

I know that most of the applications are very small version numbers, but I find it confusing why the version numbering will decrease if there is a lot of changes.

Yes, the version went from 1.0 to 0.2. That's because the first version should have been "0.2" instead, but at the time we didn't do it right. To simplify, just imagine it went from 0.1 to 0.2, because that's what should have happened.

On other elementary projects, that's the usual behavior 0.1→0.2...
