I've been reading some things about the MIni 9 release

Asked by pHreaksYcle

I was wondering if there was going to be updates that fixed things that might be off the mark. I haven't actually got mine yet but if what I'm reading on the Mini 9 forum post is true then I'm in for a treat, between the microphone not working right, people reporting that some regular .debs are not working...I'm just confused, hoping for an official clarification from my favorite devs soon :)

The Dell Mini 9 doesn't actually run UNR, it only uses Maximus to maximise windows by default. Therefore I'm not too sure about the microphone issue :-/.

Regarding the debs, the Dell is a lpia architecture system, which is a special arch for low-power systems. For this reason, normal i386 debs will fail which a "wrong arch" error from dpkg. In my experience, you can safely force the install of i386 debs using

dpkg -i --force-architecture /path/to/deb

I hope that helps!
