How do I set icons for Firefox bookmarks added to the Launcher?

When I add a bookmark from Firefox with the 'heart' button to add it to my favorites menu in the Launcher, it asks to use an icon. Whether using the favicon or specifying an icon, I get a generic blue gears icon with no way to change it.

Use the Main Menu program under Preferences.

Not intuitive at ALL.
