Require patch file for nautilus 2.30

Asked by hantsy

Is there a patch for nautilus 2.30(Fedora 13).
I installed it(2.30 branch) in my system, I found it conflict with the nautilus installed by Fedora 13.
And some features do not work, the desktop file can not be executed in Desktop.
If there is a patch for nautilus 2.30.1?
I can patch it and rebuild the rpm by myself.

I found I modified the nautilus layout, set text beside icon. It will affect the Desktop. This is a bad idea.
The order, layout of desktop and file manager should be separated.
The GNOME desktop maybe need another more detailed settings tool like which provided in Mint.
The second problem, maybe the performance, after I installed it, I found GNOME desktop operation response is more slow than ever.
The path is group in one bar, why not apply this on the redo, undo(forward, back arrow icon)...
The third I wish It will treat tracker as default search engine, redesign UI like win7.

fixed in a more recent rev. but they are 2.31.1 and u asked 2.30.1 ;)
so feel free to take what u need in the bzr repository.

"The second problem, maybe the performance, after I installed it, I found GNOME desktop operation response is more slow than ever."

Can u be more specific? the desktop code should be the same as stock nautilus so i don't see why it should be faster or slower.

Sry i don't understand anything in this sentence.

"The third I wish It will treat tracker as default search engine, redesign UI like win7."

tracker is already the default search engine if installed like in stock nautilus.

Thanks for your patience.

Make it seems like Google chrome browser, remove the space between the two button, make it seems like one button but contains two icons.

"The third I wish It will treat tracker as default search engine, redesign UI like win7."
tracker is already the default search engine if installed like in stock nautilus.

Put the search input box in the nautilus UI directly, like Apple Mac OS or win 7, and by default filter by name in current folder.

Additionally, provide a icon button to switch to compact view, like provided in Apple Mac OS(The default view in former GNOME, like BeOS file manager)

If possible, I hope some features for 2.31 can be backported into 2.30.x.
