How to hide centiseconds of playposition?

Asked by ronso0

NumberOfDigits has no effect for <NumberPos> widget.

I find centiseconds rather annoying and distracting i.e. when I just want to know the seconds left to play.
Also with elapsed and remaining time showing, they use more space than necessary.

Well, it probably is matter of (personal) choice, and was added by request back in 2010.

We should not hide parts of the available information by default, at least not for standard skins. Optional? That would work.

Thanks.
Opt-in would be okay, although I'm wondering who really makes use of this information.
The actual aim is to make time display more clear, I guess it would help a lot if fractions had a smaller font size than seconds.

I've been promoting mixxx to vinyl DJs and total noobs recently. They usually load tracks for the first time and just need reliable basic transport controls, a cue point and maybe filter effect or a quick loop. They don't care about effects, hotcues or centiseconds. So I'd like to make Tango skin easier to read and maybe even build a ,,Just play'' skin with basic decks, scrolling waveforms and a large library.

What are standard skins?

I think it would make sense to add a preference option for the number of decimal places shown for times.
