What is [Microphone],master?

Asked by ronso0

While building a mixer bar for all sound I/O i noticed no Microphone signal could be heard.
* Mic Level meter was showing a healthy input signal
* Mic/Talkover mix in Prefs is set to "Master"
* didn't touch any ducking COs

In dev mode I discovered a CO called [Microphone],master being at 0.
I set this to 1 and I could hear Mic signal .

What means [Microphone],master? Didn't find any documentation..

The "master" switch selects if the signal is part of the master mix.
It is a kind of mute switch. The same as PFL for headphones.
This was introduced for channels like preview deck, which only plays to headphones by default.
