Pitch range change from +-10 to +-8

In version 1.10.X the pitch range was -10/+10, but on the latest version 1.11.0 the pitch range was reduced to -8/+8, is there any reason for that?
Can we move it back to -10/+10 or even increase it?

In Mixxx "Preferences > Interface > Pitch/Rate slider range" you can change it up to +/- 90 %
