When I try to download lame it said windows can't open file. To open this file, windows need to know what program you want to open it. Windows can go online to look up automatically, or you can manually select from a list of programs that are installed on your computer. What what it said every time I try.

The LAME download is in 7zip format, which your installation of Windows does not know about.

As said in https://answers.launchpad.net/mixxx/+question/228160 , you need to have an utility for manipulating 7z archives installed. Go to http://www.7-zip.org/ , download and install 7zip . Then proceed the LAME installation, the instructions are in http://mixxx.org/wiki/doku.php/internet_broadcasting#windows
