People are saying goto Options > Record Mix then it will ask you where to record or goto Preferences > Recording and the click browse and then chose destination but i cant find out where it is recording or even if it is even recoreding, Thanks, Jack

Depends on your version of Mixxx.
Check the "About Mixxx" window in the Help menu to get your version number.

* Mixxx 1.9: If a recording starts, Mixxx asks where to save the file.
* Mixxx 1.10: The recordings are automatically saved to the /Recordings sub-directory of you Mixxx Music directory. The Music directory can be found in Preferences > Library
* Mixxx 1.11: The recordings are saved to the directory set in Preferences > Recordings.

If a recording is running, The "Records Mix" menu point in the Options menu gets a checkmark. Additionally, the amount of data that has been recorded during the current session can be tracked in the Recordings tab of the library table.

We plan to add an indicator to the user interface, to make it easier to identify a running recording.
