Sounds like a bug more than a question. I've filed a bug and linked it to this question. Please post there what your system specs and Mixxx version are.

Hi Sport Billy,

Could you gather some debug info please?

Open Terminal.app (in the Applications > Utilities folder)

type:
/Applications/Mixxx.app/Contents/MacOS/mixxx

And then copy/paste the output. Also, in your home directory could you open the folder named '.mixxx' and upload the mixxxdb.sqlite file that is in that folder? You may need to set Finder to show hidden files in order to see the '.mixxx' folder.

Hi Ryan,

Thanks for your input, I was told that I must have messed with or deleted something while trying to clear my library. Hence the error message.
Now my question to you is, how can I completely uninstall mixxx and load a new version?

This will delete all your Mixxx related informations - like hotcues, playlists, ratings and also custom keyboard and controller mappings if present.

1. Delete the Mixxx application itself
/Applications/Mixxx.app

2. Delete the Mixxx subfolder in the Application support folder
/Library/Application\ Support/Mixxx

Note that Apple made the user library folder hidden by default with OSX 10.7+. If you are on 10.7+ and have trouble finding the Mixxx folder, follow the guide: http://mixxx.org/wiki/doku.php/troubleshooting?#where_is_the_mixxxlog_file

3. Download the most current stable version Mixxx 1.10.1
http://mixxx.org/download/

If you are on OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion, use the targeted version instead that is available here:

Hi Sport Billy,

Did Jus's instructions help you? If you are still experiencing the error we can help you but only if you can get us some log output from Mixxx:

Open Terminal.app (in the Applications > Utilities folder)

type:
/Applications/Mixxx.app/Contents/MacOS/mixxx

And then copy/paste the output. Also, in your home directory could you open the folder named '.mixxx' and upload the mixxxdb.sqlite file that is in that folder? You may need to set Finder to show hidden files in order to see the '.mixxx' folder.

Thanks,
RJ Ryan
