non-free-codecs

Asked by Tom rooze.sen

Why do I only use it if I SMPlayer outside the libdvdcss2, even the non-free codecs install.
Or in other words, what does non-free codecs really.
Friendly greetings Tom.

Edit:
This is actually not a real bug rather a question for our documentation.

Sorry, I don't really understand what you mean, could you rephrase it?

> Or in other words, what does non-free codecs really.

Non-free-codecs package installs video codecs for popular proprietary formats not natively supported by mplayer (e.g. RealVideo, Windows Media Video 9 and so on).

Can you help with this problem?
