Scheduled recordings often begin one hour or half hour before they are programemd to.
Hi there. When I set Me-TV to record a program starting at 9am, it will usually start it at 8:30, and miss the bulk of what I wanted to record. It's not totally consistent though: yesterday it started properly at 9:00, but today it actually started recording at 8:00. I took a look at me-tv.log, and it confirms that recording did start at 8:00, so it's not the TV station (ABC1) stuffing up their schedule. I'm thinking the time broadcast by the digital signal is what's causing it, since it's also consistently wrong on another STB at home, but is it the time reported by the EPG (rather than the local time from the PC clock) that triggers the recording to start? If so, maybe you could add an option to use the PC clock for scheduled recordings, as a workaround. I've double-checked my time zone setting (Adelaide, Au CST) in both Ubuntu and ~/.met-
If you've got this far, thanks for reading. I'm guessing not many people have seen this problem, since it's probably limited to the ABC in CST, and even then only during certain programmes (scheduled recording in the evening has been ok for me).
