Recording playback - codec problem in totem

Asked by Rowan

Ubuntu 10.04 2.6.32-21 restricted extras, w23codecs
(Fresh install of final release)
Me-Tv 1.1.2

When playing back a mpeg recording made by Me-Tv - totem asks to search for a codec, then can't find it.
If you select cancel (codec search) the file plays but you can't scroll through video, if attempted video crashes.
Running the file in terminal gives:
$ totem --play /media/sdb6/Buzzcocks.mpeg
** Message: Missing plugin: gstreamer|0.10|totem|private/x-dvbsub decoder|decoder-private/x-dvbsub (private/x-dvbsub decoder)

VLC plays the files with no problems?
I think I have all the gstreamer plugins?
Any ideas Michael? Is this only happening to me?

Now, forgive me for not checking every word but isn't this the same as https://answers.launchpad.net/totem/+question/109028?

Can you help with this problem?
