I want to use Maya on my Ubuntu 14.04, is there a PPA so I can get updates for Maya?

You might adding the following ppa temporarily with the command

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:elementary-os/daily

and then removing it after you have installed Maya.

Leaving that ppa enabled for anything longer than installing or updating Maya might hose your system though, so be careful.
