Highlighting a folder makes text unreadable with certain GTK themes

Asked by Steve Sydney

I'm trying to use Marlin in Linux Mint 13 Cinnamon. When I highlight a folder, the text becomes unreadable because when highlighted, the text turns white and the highlight color is too bright. This happens with several GTK themes I've tried, including the default Mint-X and Mint-Z themes in Mint. I currently use Zukitwo-Dark and have this problem. In Nautilus, these themes look fine.

I'd just switch themes but none of the themes I've tried that look right in Marlin are ones that I like. Some of the themes that do work properly are Adwaita, Atolm and OMG.

Not sure if it's a problem with these themes or the way that Marlin reads them but I figured this was a good place to start.
