Import Products Not Working

Hi. I recently installed Openerp and the magento intergration module. Everything works well, i've imported categories, attributes etc. but I can't seem to import products. Here's the log i get.

I'm using Magento 1.4.0.1 btw. I'm sure that's probably the issue but maybe there's a workaround? thanks in advance.

Hello ,

Try to export the demo product with required field and also make the import compatible field into True (which is by default True ) in the export wizard. You can easily take the reference from generated csv file.

Hello,

First of all I am afraid this package has never been tested on windows. (Folks if any of you have, it will be great to know that).

Please follow the workflow here and then update us step by step about the error, so that its easy to debug.

should i be using OpenERP on a Linux system? I don't have a dedicated server so maybe a virtual machine?

oh i should also mention that my magento installation is a live production one on a webserver.

It is recommended to use Linux, because none of us (the developers & consultants) actually use windows. So we never really know.

It is also recommended to use the same Box (if possible) to have magento & open erp if the number of products are large.

This avoids network bottlenecks in the XML-RPC web services between magento & open ERP.

I run OpenErp and magentoerpconnect succesfully on Windows 7 All in One Install and Magento 1.3.2.4. Problem might be he is running Magento 1.4.0.1??

the API sync wouldn't work for me in 1.3.2.4 so that's why i stopped using it then, but now it works with 1.4.0.1 just not product import. I was able to import products linked to test orders though, 3 in total.

i just created a test product in OpenERP and was successfully able to export it to my magento installation. its showing in the catalog.

could this issue be related to me using 1.4.0.1? I really want to continue using OpenERP on Windows. I just have the one issue with product import. When can official support be expected for 1.4.0.1?

Hello,

Official support for 1.4 will only be done if somebody needs it (and funds it).

As of now there is no roadmap or plan on 1.4.X
