Installation on hardrives with drive letter other than C.

I remember a couple of months ago trying this on my computer, but no matter what I did it would not work because my hard drive is not "C:", it is "H:". When I went on the ubuntu wiki and it was in the list of known bugs. I have looked everywhere in this entry as well as in the wubi entry and cannot find a record of the bug, so I was wondering if this was fixed? If not should I go ask in Wubi or the forums?

It should work now. There are known problems with some SATA hard disks, and when the kernel is fragmented, but other than that it should be fine.

good day....hello friends...i have a briefe questions that i really need an urgent answers..please!!
How do i install my ubuntu..while i used OS-XP,,a while ago i downloaded ubuntu 6.10,and burned it in cd,when i tried to install it,my pc doesnt boot on it???,,how can i make this a bootable disk??????a nice one????please help.....ASAP...thanks jojo

Hi Jo,

I think you are probably in the wrong project, anyway, you probably burned the ISO incorrectly (common errors are to copy the ISO file as opposed to "extract" the ISO content and/or burn at too high speed). If you play the CD from within windows you should see a webpage about ubuntu and open source software, if you don't you did not burn correctly.
