Support in Thunderbird 5 (pre)

Asked by Maddy

Hi,

When will this be supported in Thunderbird 5 (5.0b1).
I am using this as this has a lot of UI improvements and seems faster than version 3
which I have been using for a long time.

However when I upgraded to 5 (using PPA) I lost the addon, so wanted to know
if there is any plans to release the same for v5.

Is there any issues / blocking factor?

If there is anything I can do including dev / testing to get this ported to 5 I will be
more than glad to do so.

I tried just changing the compatibility info, but that didn't seem to work at all. Somebody will have to do the porting until I have time and/or Thunderbird 5 will be released.

Hi Simon,

How and where to get the code base from? I would like to give this a try.

I just installed the released Thunderbird 5 on linux and also first tried to hack the install.rdf - without success. Then I tried Michel's version - but I still cannot add the exchange calendar - it gets stuck on the page where i have to choose a color and name - clicking "next" doesn't do anything there.
