How can I contact users without letting them know my e-mail?

On this page: https://help.launchpad.net/YourAccount/ContactingPeople it says that it is possible to hide one's e-mail address through this form: https://launchpad.net/people/+me/+editemails
Unfortunately I do not see any option to hide the e-mail address. It is also shown in the "Contact this user" form. What to do to contact a user without letting them know the e-mail?
