I need an equivalent to POWERPOINT.

To replace Microsoft, I require a Powerpoint equivalent program. Has that been done? If so, what is it called and how do I read about it? Thank you.

OpenOffice Presentation is the tool you need to use. Applications->Office->OpenOffice.org Presentation.

also you can try Google Docs - online analogue of MS/Open Office
