Sahana migrating the lp from sf, would like bug tracker migrated too

Hi there,

I am a member of the https://launchpad.net/sahana team. On the list, we've decided to move to Launchpad from Sourceforge. Could tha LP admins please migrate the tracker for us? Cheers!

My understanding right now is that we can't export bugs from SourceForge. Our exporter relied on page-scraping the SF website, but a redesign of their site means it's not working right now, and we will not have the capacity to work on it in the near future.

I understand that it's possible to get an export of bug data from SF in an XML form on request, in which case it should be possible to massage it into the format that Launchpad accepts for bug imports, which is documented at <https://help.launchpad.net/Bugs/ImportFormat>. We have recommended this as the best way forward for other projects that wish to migrate to Launchpad.
