Who would handle a bug?

Asked by Igor Starikov

I still can't get the point: who should handle a confirmed bug and when?
What I mean is, I reported the bug (eg. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/370173, confirmed and hot, I dare say), assigned package and team (correclty, I suppose) to it, and what next? Not a hint from team members, but I noticed that now page's title is "Bug #370173 is not in Ubuntu", so I don't know even where it is.

I'm not sure why the title says that. However, it looks like the bug definitely has enough information to be confirmed as well as acted upon. I requested that someone verify the correct package and team are attached to it. Hopefully ensuring the correct package and team will lead to a very quick fix. It looks like it's a regression issue and the bug control team is looking to make sure of everything.

New confirmation every week.
Do I need to try team picking? Where to start?

OK, you asked this question to the Launchpad team and so from our persective the answer is:
"The bug contact for the project or package is responsible for dispatching the bug to the right developers."

But I think your real concern is why nobody is picking up on that bug. This is an Ubuntu and not a Launchpad issue, though. You should go ask around on Ubuntu channels, mailing lists, forums etc. to find out when somebody will pick up on it.

All I can do for here...
