Question about PPA size limit

Asked by Nicola Ferralis

My personal PPA (~feranick) is slowly reaching the quota. I wonder if instead of increasing the quota there is a way to remove permanently packages built for ubuntu releases that are not needed any more. The purpose of my PPA is to provide packages for older releases for which a backport is not officially available. For example: the custom hardy for the dell mini. I also make backport packages for the latest distribution (jaunty) before they appear in the official backports. In my mind as soon as an official backport is available, I can easily remove the build in my PPA, saving space.

If you think this is not the best way, then I guess, I would like to ask for a quota increase.

Thanks for this wonderful tool.
Nick

Hi there

If you think a package is not needed any more, you can delete it from the repository and the space it was using is reclaimed from your quota.

Visit the "Delete packages" link on your PPA page and you can select packages to delete.
