How to upload to PPA mutually dependant packages?

Asked by Alex Muntada

I'm trying to build http://packages.debian.org/sid/libperl-minimumversion-perl in PPA, but one of its dependencies (libtest-minimumversion-perl) points back to libperl-minimumversion-perl (>= 0.15), so the build fails.

I think the solution would be to have an older version of libperl-minimumversion-perl previously installed, but I don't know whether there is a way to achieve this with PPA.

Thanks!

Hi Alex,

Apparently the absence of libperl-minimumversion-perl in jaunty was solved by Michael Biena this weekend, see [1]

He did pretty much as you did in your PPA, removing the self-dependency for bootstraping the first version and adding it back in a subsequent version.
