Snap builds on arm are extremely slow causing them to fail

A build that should take a few minutes is taking two hours then timing out and failing.

Earlier builds on the last project were fast as of 2/14.

It seems the get requests may be taking an unexpected amount of time, almost as if they are throttled.

This was probably a temporary network problem. Is it still reproducible?

Can you provide examples of builds that are still slow?

How about the ones in the question above, did you look at the build history there or trigger a rebuild of one?

I triggered my own build of the same snap, and it was fast. There was a transatlantic network issue at the time of the most recent build failure that you linked, which is why I asked if you were still seeing problems.

I just triggered a build at https://code.launchpad.net/~pat-mcgowan/+snap/testdemo/+build/29846 which should be <5 mins and its till running after 30, will try the other project

It seems build time is now back to normal. I'm not sure if something else besides network issues got fixed?

I mean, the problems did exist for over a month in a similar way, like logs like https://code.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-sdk-team/+snap/ubuntu-app-platform/+build/27383/+files/buildlog_snap_ubuntu_xenial_armhf_ubuntu-app-platform_BUILDING.txt.gz (that was on March 13th) show.
