Anyone can change the bug status

hi,

i've noticed that although the "importance" field can only be changed by the project team, the "status" field can be changed by anyone. i'm not sure whether this is intended or a bug; it can be annoying when you decide a bug is invalid but someone not from the project team comes along and changes it back to "new"...

Hi Poy,

Launchpad's bug tracker is designed to enable community participation in the bug process while also giving you, as a project owner, control.

So, anyone can change the status of a bug but only bug supervisors, project owners and drivers can set the following statuses:

* Triaged
* Won't fix.

If someone is persistently changing bug statuses in an unhelpful, perhaps you could contact them and ask them to stop. If you don't have any luck and you suspect vandalism, please contact us again.
