Under Getting started with source package recipes > - https://help.launchpad.net/Packaging/SourceBuilds/GettingStarted there is command to build recipes locally:

bzr dailydeb

Is it possible to conduct a similar local build for git-based repositories, such as:

git dailydeb

The page you linked to says:
