Hit counter for PPA's

Are there any plans to add a "hit counter" to the PPA's? It sure would be cool to have something like Debian's popcon stats applied to PPA's. Nothing elaborate just a simple counter

Yes, we have the infrastructure in place, but this work should happen
after 3.0.
