Diaspora ownership

Diaspora* project has a project page reserved and it is owned by Registry Administrators.

I am one of the people working on packaging Diaspora* for Ubuntu. Currently we have been working on launchpad.net/iaspora-ppa project page. Could I have ownership of the 'diaspora' project page so we can continue our efforts on this project page?
