Cannot find previously entered bug report
This probably is my misunderstanding, but I can't figure it out and would appreciate some directions.
Background: On November 21, I entered a bug report (#164322) about an unclear warning in the packaging guide.
Today I wanted to look at the bug report to see whether any action had been taken on it. I was unable to find any keywords to enter into the search that found my bug report.
The full title of the bug report is "Packaging Guide unclear warning about package name". If I enter that full title into the bug search box (https:/
I looked around a little bit to see whether there were any directions about using the bug search, but I couldn't find any.
Of course, I didn't need the search to find my bug report because I had the direct link to it from the email I received when I entered the bug report. But I was trying to learn how to use the search function, and I seem to have failed to figure it out.
So my question is how should I use the bug search to find bugs? If I can't get it to show me a bug whose description I know completely, how can I rely on it to find bug reports that are relevant to a problem I'm trying to solve? Or am I misunderstanding the purpose of the bug reports or of the search?
