Wrongly labeled as a duplicate

Asked by Daktyl198

Why was my bug (of ubuntu12.04) found to be a duplicate of a bug for 10.04 that had absolutely nothing in common except that it is a problem with dpkg? I installed the alpha 1 intending to help with finding bugs. I have found several. Most have been decided as duplicates of bugs that are either no longer applicable, or are for a wholly separate problem.
I don't quite know where im supposed to ask this question so I guess here will have to do.
I suggest finding a new way to classify bugs. Im pretty sure that was one of the "goals" of the 12.04 release anyways.

Hey Nathan,
can you please link us to your bug reports that you are referring for review? Generally speaking when you file the bugs in launchpad you can add comments and send individuals messages that help triage and work your bugs.

Unfortunately I accidentally deleted the links to the bugs in my email and the bugs I am referring to do not show up in my reported bugs nor my subscribed bugs, the latter of which I am surprised about because I'm pretty sure it auto subscribed me to the duplicate bug

Your account page doesn't find any of them either which isn't expected.

The menu on the right doesn't display results by using any filter.

Maybe ask lp itself what may happened.
