Transting Chromium into Kurdish (ku)

Just one comment which doesn't cover all items in guidelines.

You should change your team's name from "Chromium Translation Team on Launchpad" to something like "Launchpad Kurdish Translators", for ~lp-l10n-gu will be not only responsible for chromium on Launchpad, but many other projects hosted here.

I've looked at the team and it looks good. I've only got a couple of points to mention:

* Team communication. The team should have a communication channel to coordinate the translation activities. This can be any of: a mailing list, IRC, forums, etc. This can be arranged after the team has been accepted, but it is a requirement.

-- I see that you've set your own e-mail address as the team contact. I'd recommend using a mailing list instead, to which everyone can subscribe and can participate. This will allow (and encourage) community participation and transparency. Everyone in the team should be able to follow and take part in discussions, which a private e-mail address will not permit.

You can create a mailing list for the team in Launchpad in a matter of minutes, or you can set up any external one.

* Guidelines. The team should have a set of translation guidelines. This can be arranged after the team has been accepted, but it is a requirement.

-- I could not see any translations guidelines. Do you have any that you could add a link to, or are you planning to work on them? Most teams at https://translations.launchpad.net/+groups/launchpad-translators have guidelines, and it would be great if the Kurdish team would have some too.

If you could address or comment on these points, then we'll be happy to appoint the lp-l10n-ku team so that you can start translating straight away.

We have a mainlinglist, it's ubuntu-l10n-kur <at> lists.ubuntu.com

It is not only used for Ubuntu translations but among others also for OpenOffice and Mozilla translations.

This question was expired because it remained in the 'Needs information' state without activity for the last 15 days.

We want to start translation Chromium into Kurdish. So what we have to do now? Why it is that much difficult to translate Chromium? We allready have some other groups and we are translating many other softwares and packages into Kurdish. Starting to translating Cromium should not be that much difficult...

It's holiday season so many people are not available. Sorry about the (continuing) delay. FWIW, the guidelines seem very short.

However, I don't think we should block on that (especially since you can update the link yourself), so I've approved the lp-l10n-ku team.
