Hi Nobuto,

Thanks a lot for creating the Japanese Launchpad Translators team.

We'll be happy to appoint it, but before that, could you please look into the following points:

* [Optional] I would recommend you to have the welcome text on the team's page in Japanese, as the page is targetted at new Japanese translators
* Please change the ownership of the team to a person you choose as the translation team coordinator, instead of the whole Japanese team (https://launchpad.net/~japaneseteam). In translations teams we've got the figure of a translation coordinator, who takes care of managing the team and acting as a single point of contact, similarly to what we do in LoCo teams.
* On the team's page you are saying: "You can join this team by being a member of Ubuntu Japanese Translators". Please consider changing this policy. The idea of a Launchpad translation team is to separate the translation of Ubuntu-related software from other software in Launchpad. If you ask team members to join the Ubuntu team, there is no point in having a separate team. There might be people interested in translating only non-Ubuntu applications, so they should be able to join the lp-l10n-ja team instead of the ubuntu-l10n-ja team.

Once you've taken care of these, we'll take care of appointing the team

Thanks!

Hi Nobuto,

We haven't heard back from you in a while. Have you had the chance to look at the points in the last comment?

Once you've addressed them, we'll be more than happy to appoint the Japanese team in the Launchpad Translators group.

Thanks!
David.

Hi David,

We have decided who will be the owner of the team, but not reflected on the page, sorry. Now, we are discussing "how to join the team". Maybe it will take a couple of weeks.

Once we decide all and reflect on the page, I will touch you soon.

Thank you for your patience.

I have ownership of Japanese Launchpad Translators team.

Thanks Shushi and Nobuto for addressing all the points.

I've now added the Japanese team to the Launchpad Translators group, so you should be able to translate applications hosted in Launchpad straight away.

Shushi: as a team coordinator, please remember to subscribe to the https://launchpad.net/~launchpad-translators mailing list by joining the Open team.

Happy translating!
