request for transfer of registration -- rpm to match rpm5

Asked by herrold

While filing a bug, I noticed at

   https://launchpad.net/rpm

is still 'owned' by: Registered 2005-01-21 by Registry Administrators

but that and rpm5 are each up and vibrant -- to clean up this ownership, could it please be transferred to

per that link, and the documentation at:

   https://launchpad.net/~registry

"If you have found your project in Launchpad and would like to maintain the information and take it over, we'd be happy to reassign it to you! Just file a request at https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad-registry and we'll have it completed in no time."

please take this as such a request

    https://launchpad.net/~n3npq

https://edge.launchpad.net/rpm is owner by rpm5. Registry Admins are the registrants, which is an immutable field. Is there something else that needs to be done?

To answer your question, nothing for 'rpm' --

but thinking more broadly, perhaps the 'outlink' there which I cited should not then contain text that suggests filing such requests?

Thank you

I still do not understand. /rpm is a project, ~rpm5 is the name of the team working on /rpm. This team is actually comprised of the upstream developers. ~n3npq (Jeff) is the owner of the team. He is the owner of both the team and the project and he can configure the project as he chooses. We recommend that all projects use assign teams to roles instead of users so that contributors are not locked out when a maintain is user is taking a vacation.

Can you help with this problem?
